Tandoori Masala BBQ Chicken Skewers

South Asian inspired Cheesy stuffed naans with Tandoori masala BBQ chicken skewers. so good. A tasty lunch that the family will love.


Macros: 180 cals / 37g protein / 2g fat / 4g carbs

Ingredients:

  • 600g chicken breast
  • 25g Shan tandoori masala BBQ recipe mix from a store or make your own, ingredienst at the bottom
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt

Instructions:

  1. Cube the chicken and add yoghurt, lemon juice, garlic, and the tandoori masala BBQ recipe mix.
  2. Mix well and leave to marinate in the fridge.
  3. Layer the chicken with the marinade on skewers and oven cook for around 25 minutes at 200°C.

Cheesy Stuffed Garlic Naans

Macros: 375 cals / 19g protein / 10g fat / 51g carbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 3/4 cup Greek yoghurt
  • 40g mozzarella
  • 10g butter
  • Salt
  • Fresh coriander

Instructions:

  1. Add flour to a bowl, season with salt, and mix in the yoghurt to form a dough ball.
  2. Separate into 2 equal pieces and roll them out.
  3. Add mozzarella to the centre, fold to secure it, and roll again.
  4. Pan fry the naan breads over high heat for around 2 minutes per side.
  5. Once golden, add a little bit of butter and sprinkle over fresh coriander.

Chilli Lime and Herb Sauce

Macros: 91 cals / 10g protein / 2g fat / 7g carbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1/2 green chilli
  • Fresh coriander
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. To a blender, combine yoghurt, lime juice, chilli, garlic, coriander, and mint.

Serving

Serve the chicken skewers and naan breads with lots of salad and the chilli lime and herb sauce on the side. Enjoy your meal!

Tandoori Masala Spice Mix

To make 1/2 cup of Tandoori Masala spice mix, you can use the following measurements for each spice:

  • Ground coriander: 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin: 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder: 1 tablespoons
  • Ground ginger: 1 tablespoons
  • Ground cloves: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground mace: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground fenugreek: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cardamom: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
